Rupankar = "good-looking one" (I honestly didn't make that up. An acquaintance from India actually decoded the name for us!)
The story of bringing Jansen home...it began 4/12/07 when we first saw his beautiful face...it continued through the Summer of Paperwork and the Autumn of Waiting...and it continues still in this Winter of Anticipation. We hope January of 2008 will be the magical month we actually BRING JANSEN HOME and we plan to document the journey here. Well Powell family, you have one beautiful boy there!! Jansen looks like he is already attached and comfortable with his family. I am so happy for you all! I end up crying each time a I see any new pix posted ..what a blessing ... God does answer prayers. Good luck in your travel back home, can't wait to meet Jansen.

Dear Powell Family,
My name is Morgan and I am Sharon's intern here at the CDSA. For the past week, one of my priorities has been reading about your family and Jansen and learning as much about him as possible until I get to meet him (and ya'll as well). I am SO EXCITED both for ya'll- to finally have your baby in your arms and be able to bring him home and give him an amazing life- and because as Sharon says, he's going to be my "first baby". I really look forward to meeting ya'll and hopefully being able to help Sharon with your case (even though she is already a genious without me)!
